Where do catamarans leave from in Santorini?	The luxurious catamaran departs from Vlihada port, Fira traditional Port, Ammoudi Port of Oia or Athinios Port south of Fira respectively, at 10:00 AM and sails along the west coastline of Santorini, below the captivating caldera. The first stop is close to the world-famous volcano and its healing Hot Springs.

Why catamaran is so expensive?

Catamarans are more expensive to maintain than monohulls, since they have two hulls instead of one. This doubles many maintenance costs like antifouling, deck hardware, and also increases the stress on the rigging, increasing costs even more.

Do catamaran cruises have bathrooms?

Yes, they do. Usually, every catamaran has 2 restrooms and the smaller ones have 1.

What kind of equipment do you offer on board?

We offer safety equipment, towels, snorkeling equipment and tour guides.

What is the menu?

Depending on the cruise we offer Greek delicacies buffet soft drinks, beverages and chilled wine from local wineries.

Where do we sail to?

Red and White beach, Indian rocks, light house, caldera coast, volcanic hot springs, private bays.

How many people are on board?

Our crew consists of one captain, two hosts. The number of passengers may differ from cruise to cruise, but always under the limits of the Greek Maritime Law.

Do you offer free transportation from/to our hotel?

Yes, we do arrange a pick up from your hotel on a minibus, at least one hour before the cruise happens, and bring you back after the cruise ends.

Can I skip the free transportation and meet you at the port directly?

Yes, if you have your own means of transportation you are free to skip the minibus pick up, of course.

Is Santorini sailing boat tour worth it?

A boat tour of the caldera is among my very favorite things to do in Santorini. Unforgettable and a must-do! Don’t worry too much about which tour you book – they’re all good. Emphasis should be on getting something booked in advance before they sell out for your dates.

While on board, it is essential to adhere to the instructions provided by the captain and the crew.

Please be aware that yachts and boats in Greece cannot moor directly on the beach. At SANTOSAILS, we have carefully chosen the best spots for swimming and snorkeling, conveniently located near the beach.

In the Santorini Hot Springs area, consider the following: Catamarans and yachts typically anchor 50 meters away from the warm sulfuric waters of the Hot Springs bay. The temperature in this area is approximately 4°C warmer than the open water. Swim securely near the Volcano, avoid contact with other boats, and opt for dark-colored swimwear.

To facilitate smooth pick-up arrangements, please provide the name of your hotel or villa, along with contact details (either yours or your host’s), one day prior to the cruise.

Bring a photo of your passport or ID card (in your phone device).

For embarkation, kindly remove your shoes; our attentive crew will assist you with the process.

Keep in mind that the duration of the cruise may vary throughout the season, especially for the sunset cruise.

Please note that the cruise itinerary and stops are subject to modification without prior notice in case of inclement weather.
